Here at the Vineyard we recognize that everyone is being formed in some way. Our dream is to see a community of people that are choosing a way of life together that Christ may be formed in them. We believe that this is done by Following the way of Jesus: Love God, Love People, Create Good.
The way of Jesus is more than just knowing a few Bible verses or sitting in a church service here and there. The way of Jesus is deep and transformative. Jesus calls us to a life where we love our enemies and care for those who we have a hard time relating with. When we look into the Bible we see that having faith in Jesus is to have trust in Him. We can trust God with our lives, that God knows us inside and out and knows the best way for us to live. Here at the Lake Region Vineyard we do this by focusing on three areas: Spiritual Formation, Community Participation and Partnering with God.
Spiritual Formation is the intentional choices we make to allow God to make us into the people he wants us to be. This can be done in many ways Bible study, prayer, worship, service, fasting, silence and solitude, are a few of the practices we encourage for Spiritual Formation.
Community is where so much happens in our formation. It's hard to grow in our spiritual and emotional maturity, its almost impossible to do it alone. This why we regularly gather. Between Sunday morning services, small groups, beach outings, potlucks, youth groups and more there's plenty of opportunities to get connected. We also see ourselves as apart of our larger communities here in the local towns we live in. It is good for followers of Jesus to salt and light in the local communities. We encourage people to volunteer to meet needs locally and to love their neighbors well.
Partnering with God starts to happen when we take seriously our own Spiritual Formation and get involved in community. When we start to have a deeper relationship with Jesus we will start to see the world and ourselves differently. We start to see the world with more compassion and hope and see ourselves as some one who has purpose. When we partner with God we are joining with Jesus' pray to see the kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

As a faith community we try to foster a space for growth. We are also growing and learning how to trust God. By having different gatherings throughout the year that focus on different aspects of our faith.
- We have gatherings that are designed help people in our community CONNECT. Potlucks, Sunday Beach Days, parties and more. These gatherings create space for conversation and laughter.
- We have gatherings that are designed to help people GROW in Christian maturity. As we grow in our faith, we become equipped to partner with God and join Him in the work that He is doing in the world, in and around us. This is done through small groups, classes and trainings.
- We have gatherings that provide space to SERVE our larger community. Love looks like something. Our faith needs to be in action to be authentic. As a church we participate in community dinners, community block parties, Christmas help and more.
- We have gatherings that focus on PRAYER & WORSHIP. These time are set apart to seek the Lord. Itâs in times of prayer that we feel our vulnerability and need for God to move in our world.

Beliefs
As a modern people following an ancient faith we stand in agreement with the claims of the Apostles Creed. We find these claims made from scripture central to our Christian formation.
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the grave**.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Meet the Pastor
Sean and Kelly with their five kids have a love for the local church. Over the years they have served in many different capacities. They take the saying by John Wimber (founder of the Vineyard) â I am just a nickel in God's pocket, and He can spend me any way he wantsâ to heart.
You can find Kelly on most days homeschooling her kids, sewing, or laughing with friends. Sean loves to canoe, camp and hunt in the maine woods. They both have a down to earth philosophy of ministry and love seeing people discover who God has made them to be and walk in the joy that Christ offers!
